A- Project Beauty Q & A



1. How did you feel being photographed without makeup? What did you learn about yourself? 


At first I was uncomfortable with the fact I had to wear no makeup. While I was getting my pictures taken it changed how I felt about taking pictures with no makeup.


2. Do you feel like in 2023 teenage girls have a lot or overcome in terms of acceptance and how you look to others ? How did you deal with it or overcome it? Or do you ignore social acceptance and what others think ? 


I think girls do have a lot to overcome when it comes to what other people think of their looks. Everyone always goes off of if you fit their beauty standard and a lot of people try to fit those standards to be beautiful to everyone and that is a lot of work. I personally ignore beauty standards because I think I am beautiful even if others don’t. I think its a waste to change myself so some people can think I am pretty.


3. What characteristics and traits do you think make you beautiful? What makes others truly beautiful?


I think my eyes make me beautiful. I think my eyes makes me confident. I believe my small freckles makes me beautiful. I think what makes other people beautiful is being confident and that can be with or even without makeup being confident makes you beautiful.


4. What do you think this project does for girls’ confidence? What can they learn about themselves?


I think this project helps girls be more confident with their appearance. I think it can help girls be more confident in their looks without makeup  



5. WHAT DOES TRUE BEAUTY MEAN TO YOU?


I think true beauty is what is on the inside. And true beauty can also be a natural no makeup face but i mostly think its what is on the inside that counts more.


6. Do you ever post photos of yourself on social media without hair and makeup done ? 


I do post with no makeup and my hair not done but I don’t ever post it for everyone to see. I only post so a few people can see. And i do that because sometimes I don’t want everyone seeing what I post even if it is just myself with no makeup.



7.  Do you allow what you see on social media to influence how you feel about your own self ? 


Well sometimes I do. For the most part i try not to change how i feel about myself because some other person looks a certain way. I don’t like to allow social media to change how I feel about myself because i don’t like feeling insecure
