Q & A with Brooklyn M. from Winters High School
1. How did you feel being photographed without makeup? What did you learn about yourself?
I feel good about being photographed without makeup. it’s very natural and healthy. It lets people see that beauty is within and able to be shown without all of the filters and makeup
2. Tell me about a time when someone made you feel bad about your appearance. How did you deal with it or overcome it?
I haven’t always been too confident with my glasses when I was younger, bit I realized as I grew up that they’re just my own personal accessory that a lot of others have.
3. What characteristics and traits do you think make you beautiful? What makes others truly beautiful?
I am very kind, and unconditionally loving. I always am optimistic and looking on the bright side and looking out for others. A feature of mine , is definitely my eyes. They have so many different colors and even have a freckle in one of them. I think when someone is able to vulnerable and show all their true colors is when someone is truly beautiful.
4. What do you think this project does for girls’ confidence? What can they learn about themselves?
Girls can learn that you don’t have to put on all the makeup and do your hair to get great photos taken!
5.WHAT DOES TRUE BEAUTY MEAN TO YOU?
True beauty is when you are confident with yourself, and able to conquer all the critism that this world throws at you.
